All I want for Christmas …

What’s the biggest gift you can give yourself this Christmas?

With only a couple of days left before Christmas day, hopefully you’ve pretty much finished your Christmas shopping (and hopefully you’ve resisted the temptation to buy all sorts of consumerist crap just for the sake of it).  So here’s my question to you this holiday season: what’s the one thing you would like to find as a wish fulfilled in your stocking on Christmas morning?

Back in the days when I did the Christmas gifts thing, when I was still in a job and still trying to fitin with a society that really wasn’t working for me anymore, the one thing I’d have liked to have found waiting for me under the tree was a voucher saying I didn’t have to go to work any more.  And back then, I thought that meant either a winning lottery ticket, or a big inheritance – something that meant I had all the money I would ever need, so I could just stay home.

I never quite got that, but I did manage a big severance payout that meant I could do pretty much as I pleased for a while.  And I quickly realised that, for me at least, freedom wasn’t the ability to do nothing, it was the ability to do anything. Or more precisely, the ability to do what I’m best at, and I love doing.  Confucius had it right, in that respect at least, when he said “Find a job you love, and you will never work another day in your life!”

So now you’ve finished running about buying all sorts of nonsense for other people, maybe it’s time to think about what you really want for Christmas?

If you fancy treating yourself to a deeper exploration of the essence of you at your very best, from now until New Year’s Eve (2015), I’m offering my Core Being programme for just four monthly payments of £250 – that’s half the full price for 2016 - just email CB2015@joyfulgenius.com for details
